We Did It!

Float Wins 1st Place

This year was the first time in ages that Habitat put together a float—and guess what? We took home first place! There weren’t a ton of floats in the parade, but you could tell everyone worked hard and really cared about making the day special. It was all about honoring our Veterans, and the community showed up with their best.

A big hand goes to LeRoy Laudenbach (retired Marine) who got the whole thing rolling. Habitat volunteers decorated his trailer, and LeRoy brought out his gorgeous 1951 Model H Farmall tractor to pull the float. That shiny red tractor even snagged third place in the vehicle awards!

The weather was perfect, and our crew had a blast waving to the crowd and tossing candy. It was a great day for Habitat, for our Veterans, and for everyone who came out to celebrate.
